In order to ensure the safety of end-users, employees and the general public, safety and security are key concerns in the management of the European LPG sector
Since the inception of the industry in the 1930s, companies have developed better ways to produce, transport, store, distribute and use LPG. LPG is highly user-friendly and its use is governed by a series of easy-to-follow instructions which, if followed, ensure that the product poses no danger.
A rigorously scientific approach, refined from year to year, has allowed the sector’s experts to develop a comprehensive set of standards and norms for the handling of LPG at every stage of the supply chain. Indeed European LPG experts are the world leaders on safety issues and their work has formed the basis for regulations put into place in many countries.
Although these standards and norms are already highly developed, they are continuously being improved and transposed into national and European regulations. AEGPL experts are regularly consulted by international organizations (EU, UNECE, CEN, ISO, etc.) for their help in ensuring the enhanced comfort and safety of all those who produce, transport, distribute and use LPG.
