Policy and Communications Assistant

The European LPG association, Liquid Gas Europe, is the representative body of the LPG industry at European level, representing national LPG Associations as well as distributors and equipment manufacturers from across Europe.

 

Main Purpose:  To support the policy and communications activities of the Association.

Duration:            6 to 12 months – paid internship

Start:                   February 2019

 

Main Duties/Tasks

  • Research and support on energy/alternative transport fuels/environment policy initiatives
  • Active role in various external and internal policy and communications activities (including research, drafting and outreach)
  • Assistance to the team with members’ requests
  • Research on relevant EU-funding opportunities
  • Implementation of communications and stakeholder management activities

Profile and Qualifications

  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills, and preferably at least one other European language
  • A good understanding of the functioning of the European Union. Previous experience in the field of energy policy and/or EU funding schemes would be an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Result oriented and innovative mind set
  • Strong interest in European public affairs
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • EU citizen – or have the right to work in the EU
